Borgo Experiences - Grottaglie, from panettone to pottery
27th December 2017
3 – 8 p.m.
Did you know that, though the traditional Christmas cake called “panettone” is originally from northern Italy, a bakery in the evocative small town of Grottaglie near Taranto makes one of the best variety in the whole country? Join this experience and go behind the scenes to learn how this very special artisanal dessert is made, while the secrets of leavening are unveiled to you. At the end of your visit you’ll also taste some local delicacies: “panettone”, of course, but also some baked goods. Finally, you’ll head to another craftsman workshop: here Vincenzo, a well-known pottery artist, will help you hand make a pottery “panettone” plate.
Location: Grottaglie (min 7, max 15 participants)
€180 per person (€130 for children under 12)
Please make your reservation by 6 p.m. two days before the experience
