Wheat Feast

An ancient motto of the Puglian peasant folk wisdom says "Se oi vines the cranusa vintage, Natale suttu and Pasca muttulusa" which literally means: "If you want to see a year rich in wheat, dry Christmas and rainy Easter. "

Thanks to the mild climate, in fact, Puglia has also been called the Great Granary of Italy for the cultivation of wheat ears, the gold of our lands, that every day occupies a dominant place at the centre of the table in the form of bread, pasta and derivatives.

This is why the Borgo dedicates a celebratory festival with a propitiatory meaning to thank the land of Puglia for the fruits of a good harvest.
The ancient folk songs and ritual dances that once animated the fields, today animate our Piazza, with a show of monumental sculptures and handicrafts to pay homage to this cereal.

Welcome to the Wheat Festival.
